“Don’t be afraid, I’ve redeemed you. I’ve called your name. You’re mine.

Isaiah 43:1

Ever turned around thinking that someone called your name? I have. In fact, it happens all the time. You end up having a really confused look on your face, then you get the "Are you O.K.?" from the people you're with and you calmly respond with "Yeah, I just thought someone called me". Often times it was just a word that sounded like your name.

You don't have to be unsure with God. He's intentional. It may be a word that someone has given to you. A conversation you've had that has challenged your thinking and has you questioning so many things you've come to know and love. A 'one-liner' that you heard that you keep thinking about all the time. It could be the comfort you so desperately need or a new sense of joy and deep satisfaction that you've never experienced before. It could be a deepening impression you've been having, one you just cannot shake - maybe He's repeating Himself. He'll give you the peace you are searching for.

Often when God calls, it's to a new way of thinking; a new way of living. Perhaps you're resisting. Don't be afraid, He holds your entire world. Whether or not you're searching for Him, He's looking for you. And He'll never stop.

Here's what He says to you today:

"Just Trust Me. If you're trying to find me, I'm here waiting for you. I've been calling you for some time now, yes it's Me - I'm waiting for you to answer. Don't worry about your past, your mistakes, your uncertainties - we'll work on those together, I don't hold them against you, I remember them no more. Please don't ignore me anymore. I'm waiting to give you a new, abundant life. I've called you by name, you are MINE. Try me, give me a chance - you won't regret it."

Pray this prayer today:

"God, I may not know as much as I need to know about you, but I recognise that you're calling me. I want to answer you today. Reveal yourself in my life, my heart is open. Be real to me. Amen."

“Look at me. I stand at the door. I knock. If you hear me call and open the door, I’ll come right in and sit down to supper with you."

Revelation 3:20
